How do you use a dial torque wrench?

Has Newton meters and inch pounds. Is it as simple as setting the pointer to the number and stopping when I reach that spot?

i own a repair shop,and that’s how you use it tighten it down till you get to that point at which the torque should be,but never do it all at once,do it in intervals ,a little at a time ,like go to 25 pounds the first time then go up a few more pounds,this makes sure there all even,and follow the sequence also,this is the most important part of it,tighten the wrong bolt first,and you can break something,good luck i hope this help,s.
